DETROIT – Kid Rock will open Little Caesars Arena in September 2017.
The musician has four shows planned for September -- Sept. 12, 13, 15 and 16.
Olympia Entertainment held a special news conference Thursday morning to announce the opening act at the new arena.
The Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons are set to play their entire 2017-18 seasons at LCA.

How to get tickets
Tickets ($20, $35, $55 and $75) go on sale Friday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, LiveNation.com, Ticketmaster.com or service-fee free at the Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, or Hockeytown Authentics in Troy.
