When I was college age and single you couldn’t keep me off the dance floor. And if I wasn’t, it was because I was either in the DJ booth or at the bar chatting up a lovely young lady. Or the lovely young lady was in the booth and I was showing her how to cue a record on the turntable. Ah, memories.
Anyway as I get into my middle years I find it increasingly harder to enjoy the Music of the Kids Today. My middle school-age daughter likes to torture me with Spotify asking, what do you think of this song? Usually the answer is, I don’t. And yet once in a while something comes out and I’m like, this is a jam.
