Local 4 morning anchor Rhonda Walker is thrilled to be back on the air this week after she suffered an adverse reaction to a prescription she was taking for knee pain.
“I was off work for a rough week last week suffering a pretty adverse reaction to a common prescription medication for my ongoing knee pain. Steroids are commonly prescribed, many of you have probably taken them for various reasons but I rarely ever take any prescription medication of any kind and my body COULD NOT HANDLE IT,” Rhonda said on her Instagram page.

She continued: “Recovery took me out for a full ugly week. Needless to say going back to my preferred holistic approach. Open to suggestions that worked for you w/out meds or surgery. I’ve been doing PT OmniKinetics (admittedly I need to be more consistent) I have tears in my meniscus, swelling and pain when I walk and go up and down stairs. Oddly it doesn’t impact “playing” golf as in swinging the club Thank God but again it’s the walking even to and from the cart.”
“But I digress, today I’m back to work Happy and Healthy (still with knee pain) and so thankful to feel better,” she said. “Sooo thankful to be back to work with my morning fam and feeling better.”
We’re happy she’s back, too!
