DETROIT – Here is what to you missed on Sunday's edition of Flashpoint:
It has been a wild midterm campaign, and the countdown finally hits zero on Tuesday. This election season has been fiercely angry and bitter, and it has been shockingly expensive. You'll notice that on Wednesday when your television suddenly returns to selling you soap and pizza instead of health care and immigration reform.
The stakes do indeed feel enormous, as we have been debating some very fundamental ideas about what America is all about. We are coming to you this morning for a full 60 minutes, and it will be a very full hour.
We spent time with both of the major party candidates for attorney general, Republican Tom Leonard and Democrat Dana Nessel.
Up first were the two candidates vying to represent Michigan's 11th District in Congress. Dave Trott is stepping down after two terms in the House, which means a rare open seat, and the fight to occupy it has been a very energetic affair.
This race is being closely followed all over the country, and Sunday morning, Republican Lena Epstein and Democrat Haley Stevens debated.
This edition also featured panelists Zoe Clark of Michigan Radio, Stephen Henderson of WDET, Detroit News columnist, Daniel Howes and attorney Dennis Cowan who discussed politics before the election.
