Those products were distributed at major retailers in the United States between September 2024 and March 2025.

Notably, the recall does not involve any other Lean Cuisine® or STOUFFER’S® products.

The action comes after consumers contacted Nestlé USA regarding this issue, including one potential choking incident reported to date.

Batch codes can be identified on the side of the product packaging.

Consumers should look for the ten-digit batch code prior to the best-before date.

Consumers who have purchased these products should not prepare or consume them.

Instead, they should return the items to the retailer where they were purchased for a replacement or a full refund.

For further support, consumers can contact Nestlé USA at (800) 681-1676, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST.

Nestlé USA is actively investigating the source of the wood-like material and is confident that this is an isolated issue.

The company is working closely with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) on this recall and will fully cooperate with them.
