Good Health: When asthma is actually gastroesophageal reflux disease

DETROIT – Doctors say in some patients gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can be to blame for asthma symptoms.

If asthma treatments just aren’t working, the root cause might be GERD.

GERD can often worsen asthma symptoms or even be mistaken for asthma.
