Mark Curry heads back to the D for a weekend of laughter

“Mr. Cooper” is coming to a stage in downtown Detroit

This man’s “Funny” transcends all ages and everyone will love what this comedian has to say.

You may have seen this familiar face from the television series “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.” Now, he’s bringing his comedy to the Detroit stage.

“Live in the D” Host Jason Carr chatted with Mark Curry about comedy through the pandemic and his upcoming performance in the D.

Curry refers to himself as an artist that pushes comedy to the limits. Even though he has been doing comedy since 1987, he has loved the legacy he left as Mr. Cooper.
He even goes on to talk about how kids were carrying his “Mr. Cooper” lunchbox when the show was running. And though many entertainers slowed down due to the pandemic, Curry says that he has used the time to write more jokes using whatever material is available, even a napkin.

Curry’s upcoming performance is an adult comedy show called “They So Funny.” Curry will be headlining the show at Bert’s Warehouse Theater this weekend.
