Once the kids are out of school and summer is in full swing, there is nothing like a road trip. This year we all could use a few getaways that are relatively close by to help ease us back into traveling. One place that is close and offers everything from art to nature, and it’s a short trip down south, is Toledo.
Tedd Long is the author on the new book 100 Things to do in Toledo Before You Die, which gives a few ideas of some of the places you can check out that are off the beaten path. Long spoke to Tati Amare about the book and shared a couple of places that are highlighted as a “must-stop by” destination. Some of the suggestions included in the book are Toledo’s Old West End, one of the last remaining areas for historic Victorian houses. There’s also “The Spot.” A metro park that is perfect for unique picture taking anytime of the year.
