Here are some new movies to start off October

There’s a prequel, sequel and new movie

Start October off with a prequel, sequel or a new movie out on Netflix. Movie reviewer Greg Russell joined Tati Amare today to give us the scoop on the movies and to share his interviews with the stars.

First up on Reel Talk is the prequel film The Many Saints of Newark, starring Michael Gandolfini, Alessandro Nivola, Leslie Odom, Jr., and Ray Liotta. Russel says even though this is a prequel to The Sopranos, it is a standalone movie because we all heard about the characters no matter if you watched the series or not. Russel gave The Many Saints of Newark film four reels.

Next, Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson star in the sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage. This film is about Venom going up against Carnage. Russell says you can expect a lot of action and humor.

Finally, a new movie on Netflix called The Guilty starring Jake Gyllenhaal and directed by Antoine Fuqua. Gyllenhaal plays a police officer who got demoted to desk duty and tries to help a distressed caller. Gyllenhaal says playing as a first responder was filled with tension and a lot of stress. Russell says he gives the movie four reels.
