3 tips for caring for senior pets

Take these steps to give older pets the best care

Adopting a pet into your family is always special, and how you care for your animal will change as it grows older.

November is Adopt A Senior Pet Month, and there are many older pets waiting for a loving home.

Anna Chrisman, with Michigan Humane, talked with “Live in the D” host Tati Amare about how to care for your older pets.

Chrisman said when caring for your older pet, do not neglect medical care, be sure to monitor their weight, and make time to play.

Michigan Humane is currently looking for a forever home for a senior cat named Layla. She is about 12 years old and is looking for a quiet home where she can get lots of pets and attention.
