This one exercise does it all

It can help your overall well-being

What if you could get stronger, more flexible, ease back pain, enhance your balance, and even improve your posture with only one exercise?

You can improve your overall wellbeing by doing One exercise in different ways, says nutrition and fitness expert Jody Trierweiler. She appeared on “Live In the D” with co-host Jason Carr to show us how.

Jody described the exercise as a plank. According to Jody, many people in the United States have lower back pain at some point. This exercise can strengthen the whole core and the muscles that support it.

According to Jody, putting your forearms on the ground and forming a straight line across your spine is all you need to accomplish a beginner-level plank. If this position is hard for you, instead of resting your knees, you can lift your hips and take a break in that position. Then, you can go back to the starting position. She advised you to gradually increase your time to 30 seconds.

Jody says the Stealth Core Trainer with the phone app “Game Your Core” takes planking to the next level, noting that it makes planking “less boring.” Jason tried the game and said it was easy at first but had some challenges.

If you want to advance your plank, Jody recommends using only one arm, on your forearm or hand and, for 30 seconds, you may do some leg lifts.
