Celebrate Earth Day at Beacon Park! Here are the details

Enjoy some art work, or go on a garden tour

Friday is Earth Day, the day to do projects, attend events, and celebrate ways to keep our planet healthy and thriving. Well, there is a free celebration happening in the heart of Detroit all weekend long for people of all ages. It’s happening at Beacon Park and includes a garden tour and art show all made possible by DTE Energy. So here is the schedule of events

Friday, April 22nd

From 1 PM - 2 PM there will be a garden tour at Beacon Park. Tourists will get to learn about the trees, the shrubs, the flowers around the park. At the end of the tour, people will be invited to help beautify the garden by planting bulbs to come up for next spring.

Saturday, April 23rd

From 12 PM - 7 PM the art exhibit will be open at Beacon Park, and you can meet some of the artists. There will be 40 pieces of art from local artists, all of which put a spotlight on our environment.

Sunday, April 24th

From 12 PM - 5 PM the art exhibit will open again at Beacon Park and you can meet some of the artists.
