Marvel makes its return to the big screen this weekend

Movie Reviewer Greg Russell talks about “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and “The Pentaverate”

Things are getting strange at movie theaters this weekend all thanks to Marvel making its return to the big screen.

Movie reviewer Greg Russell joined Reel Talk with “Live In The D” co-host Jason Carr to share more.

Marvel’s big movie to follow up “Spider-Man: No Way Home” is out. It is called “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” Greg says it is a crazy place to be because there are so many universes where you are one way in one, and another way in another. He says if you have not seen the other Marvel movies you can still see this movie and be entertained. However, he added that seeing the first Dr. Strange and the last Spider-Man movie will be a good refresher. He gives this film four reels.

Next up, a new series out on Netflix that is bringing back Mike Myers of “Austin Powers” fame called “The Pentaverate.” Myers is the creator and writer of the series, and he also plays eight characters. Greg says it is all about finding out about this conspiracy group and trying to discover how they are going to take over the world.

Greg chatted with Mike who said he has always been obsessed with secret societies. He shared that his mom was in the Royal Air Force in World War II and had a top security clearance. He said he knew that there were secrets in the world and that some secrets could be used for good. This movie also features some Detroit natives including Keegan Michael Key and Ken Jeong.
