The Hour Detroit Magazine Food & Wine Show features some of the best local restaurants, Michigan wines, and spirits

This weekend one event will bring together some of the area’s best restaurants, award-winning Michigan wines and spirits, and some of southeast Michigan’s best performers. It’s the “Food & Wine Show” from Hour Detroit Magazine, presented by Visit Detroit.

Nick Britsky, from Hour Detroit Magazine, and Britney Tilman, the assistant general manager of Smith & Co, joined “Live In The D” to tell us all about it.

According to Britsky, the food and wine show is focused entirely on that very subject. He said there will be more than 150 wines, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks to try. He also stated that attendees will be able to sample more than 50 different foods and food purveyors. The event will also feature live entertainment.

Smith & Co. is a bar and brew pub that focuses on new American cuisine. Tilman brought in some sample dishes, including their white bean puree with Avalon sourdough bread and salmon spread, that will be served this weekend. These dishes are also available at the restaurant. The restaurant is at 644 Selden St., Detroit, MI.

The two-day culinary extravaganza at Huntington Place is August 13 and August 14 from 1–5 p.m..
