Chocolate shop in Ferndale offers nearly 40 flavors

Tiramisu, amaretto, peanut butter, hazelnut, orange, and so many more. They’re the flavors of chocolate featured at a new Ferndale chocolate shop called Quix Chocolate.

You could say the man behind the candy masterpieces has chocolate in his blood. His name is David Quix, and he’s the owner and chocolatier at the chocolate shop. Quix says his family had a chocolate store in Belgium many years ago. When Quix moved from Belgium to Michigan, he decided to bring some of his heritage to Michigan.

Quix Chocolate offers nearly forty different flavors of chocolate that come in a variety of shapes and sizes. For Fall, they will be featuring chocolates shaped like pumpkins, acorns, mushrooms and porcupines. The chocolatier even hand paints his chocolate creations. Quix Chocolate also has pre-packaged chocolate bars and Biscoff cookies dipped in chocolate. Customers can also get custom chocolates that feature personalized logos or photographs. In addition to chocolate, the shop sells ice cream and coffee.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at Quix Chocolate on Wednesday, Sep. 21st. The shop is currently looking to hire additional employees. Quix Chocolate is located at 221 W. Troy Street in Ferndale. You can find more information about Quix Chocolate by heading to their website or Instagram page.
