He is perhaps best known for his role as Don Draper in the critically acclaimed television series “Mad Men.” You may have also seen him in “Top Gun: Maverick,” the biggest film of 2022. In the new film “Confess, Fletch,” Jon Hamm takes on the classic oddball role of Fletch.
Hamm says “Confess, Fletch” is based on a series of eleven novels written by Gregory Mcdonald in the 1970s and 1980s. He says they wanted to reboot the character and make it more sophisticated for a new generation. The movie follows the path of fun mysteries that Fletch finds himself entangled in through no fault of his own. The movie begins in Rome and continues in Boston. Along the way he encounters wacky folks and he deals with them in ways that only he can.
The actor expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work on comedies like “The Greatest Event In Television History,” drama series like “Mad Man,” and blockbusters like “Top Gun Maverick,” but adds he could not turn down the chance to play a famous character like Irwin M. Fletcher.
