How to keep your pets safe on road trips

Michigan Humane shares car safety tips for furry friends

With the North American International Auto Show just wrapping up once again, you might want to keep your pets in mind if you are in the market for a new set of wheels. It is important to keep your pets safe on road trips and when you are just getting around town. Now the question is, what can you do?

Devan Bianco with Michigan Humane joined co-host Tati Amare on “Live In The D” to provide some great advice and introduce a new adorable pet in need of a home.

According to Bianco, pet parents should be aware of the following car safety tips:

  • Make sure the pet is secured in their seat and not roaming loose.
  • Use a crate, car seat, or harness.
  • Schedule breaks to walk around and get fresh air.
  • Bring a copy of their medical records.

Spring, a two-month-old pit bull mix, is this week’s pet of the week. He is feisty and adorable, and would suit a home that can keep up with him and provide plenty of love, attention, and toys.

The Mike Morse Law Firm will pay the standard adoption fees for whoever adopts today’s pet.
