Five events around the D to celebrate Halloween with frights and fun

These events will keep you spooked and entertained throughout the Halloween season

We are well into October which means the thrills and chills are in full swing. Here’s what’s happening this weekend around the D, Halloween edition.

In Madison Heights, check out the Azra Haunted House and Chamber of Horrors. The attraction has several chambers, each claiming to be scarier than the last. The interactive multi-level maze of a haunted house promises to thrill. Next door, at a sister company, you may try out activities like axe throwing and escape rooms.

Next, stop by the Westland’s Hush Haunted Attraction. There are three attractions in one location: the Belly of the Beast, the Louisiana Catacombs, and Rosecliff Hall, a haunted mansion. This year’s attraction includes three adult-only hidden bars.

Then, have a spooky good time at the Erebus Haunted Attraction in Pontiac. There are four floors and more than half a mile of scary indoor walkways to explore in the haunted mansion. According to the owner, most customers will not complete the entire attraction because it is too frightening.

Now for a couple of events that aren’t so terrifying.

Glenlore Trails Haunted Forest is located in Commerce Township. The forest is transformed into an interactive Halloween-themed night walk from Thursday through Sunday.

Lastly, check out Hallowglow Nights at TreeRunner Adventure Park in West Bloomfield for a fun, energetic Halloween event. This year’s annual event will have a Halloween flare by including tree climbing. Along with their aerial adventure, participants will be able to collect sweet treats. Registration is needed.

All of the activities are scheduled to last until Halloween. Check each of their websites for details on times and prices.

Now, go have some Halloween fun.
