Did you see the sports stars in this local Super Bowl commercial?

It features Barry Sanders, Darren McCarty, Rick Mahorn and Kirk Gibson

The Super Bowl is not only the biggest NFL game of the year, it’s also the biggest night for clever commercials. As you watched last night, you may have seen some Detroit sports legends like Barry Sanders and Darren McCarty star in a local commercial.

The spot features Sanders, McCarty, Rick Mahorn, and Kirk Gibson sitting around a table playing pub trivia. The team humorously misses the first couple of questions, where they are the correct answers. However, when asked “what number do you call when you’ve been injured in an accident” they all excitedly shout “1-800-CALL-SAM.” The commercial ends with a shot of the Bernstein siblings saying, “I was going to say that.”

This was not the first time these sports legends worked with the Bernstein law firm, with Mark Bernstein saying they are a part of Detroit, just like the law firm is.

A fun time was had by all in the filming of the spot, which also featured local comedians Randy and Jason Sklar to be the trivia hosts.
