Heat up your warm weather wardrobe

Bright colors will make your style pop

You might be ready to fully embrace the sunshine and warm temps, but is your closet?

The owner of a local boutique appeared on “Live In The D” to share some fashion trends for the summer. Sydney Plaskey owns Sunny’s on the Corner in downtown Brighton.

Plaskey suggests bringing out bright colors for the warmer weather, such as pink, orange, and green. She said it’s good to add neutrals to the mix as well. Plaskey specifically mentioned “light, airy whites and beige.”

One of the things you might notice this summer is more casual styles. Hats are a great summer accessory every year, the boutique owner said. Trucker hat vibes are coming back, she added.

When it comes to jewelry, Plaskey recommended incorporating stackable jewelry into your ensemble. You can create your own stack with various colored bracelets.

Sunny’s on the Corner is located at 334 W. Main Street in Brighton. Watch the video above to learn more about the boutique.
