Farmers markets are a thing in the summer and there’s one that’s now running every week through October. It’s the Markets of Downtown Wyandotte. This happens every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and includes all kinds of local goods and homemade artisan products. It also includes live entertainment from local musicians including The Fox and The Fiddle who will perform this week at the market. The duo joined “Live In The D” host Tati Amare to talk about the markets and their performance.
Austin Scott and Emily Joy makeup the duo that has a folk sound. Scott said they came together about three-and-a-half years ago and have been playing music almost every weekend ever since. When asked what is the difference between the violin and the fiddle, Joy said it’s really all about the type of music you’re playing and who you’re playing with.
