This time of the year means home improvement time, and one thing you may want to look at is your windows.
They provide great views and sunlight in our homes, but there are some signs you can look for that signal they need replacing. Joe Altman with Integrity Home Solutions joined “Live In The D” host Tati Amare to share advice on what you should look for.
- Make sure that all your windows open.
- Check to see if there are any issues with locks or latches.
- See if you feel any kind of breeze coming through the window when its closed.
- Look for condensation inside the window
- Monitor to see if you’re air conditioning continues going on and off with all windows closed.
Altman says if you notice any of the above, it’s time to consider an upgrade. Old windows can cost you more because they don’t properly insulate your house, and you can end up paying more for your energy bills.
