Learn how to create custom jeans at home

Bleached jeans are on the rise, but the prices may be too high. Local 4 Style Editor Jon Jordan showed “Live in the D” host Tati Amare and guest-host Jody Trierweiler how to create their own ‘designer’ jeans at home. Jordan started by saying, “I want you to think you think creative and custom, one-of-a-kind. Maybe hand painted.”

Jordan had four techniques on how to create custom jeans such as splatter, ombré, stencil, and hand-painted. The first he showed off was splatter. He created his own custom denim shirt by taping sections of his shirt and splattered bleach in those taped areas.

He then showed off a stencil patterns. All you need to do is tape a stencil and use a spray bottle so avoid the bleach bleeding. Jordan said, “Prep is key,” when creating designs on your jeans.
