Happy International Chocolate Day! We celebrated in style on Live in the D with Quix Chocolate, an artisanal Belgian chocolatier in Ferndale.

Owner, David Ogloza walked us through the steps of making his intricate chocolate leaves... the process was like watching art come to life in the form of chocolate. I had no idea the process of making his mini chocolates was so labor intensive! He’s been on the show before featuring his delicious confections, but getting a close up, firsthand look at the multiple steps in the process of making just one of his treats has given me a new level of appreciation for his chocolate art work. He mentioned, his work is truly a labor a love and you can tell when you bite into one of his delights.... heavenly!
