It’s that time of year when you may want to freshen up your looks for fall. Or perhaps you are looking for a gift? Well, a great place to go where you can give back as you shop is the Event Bliss and Gifts in Franklin.
The store was started by Susan Siegal and Terri Trepeck. The pair met when Trepeck was doing invitations and Siegal was working as an events planner. They found a store in Franklin and opened their shop selling small gifts for things like weddings or showers.
Over time they added more and more goods to their inventory until they became a lifestyle store with everything from home goods to baby clothes. The idea is that they will travel through life with you, covering the invitations and event planning for your wedding through your baby showers and more.

Another important part of their business model is giving back. In the last 10 years, they’ve donated to over 100 charities. For the month of October, if you come in and mention Live in the D, 10% of your purchase will go to a charity of your choosing.
“We feel that you have to give to get,” says Siegal. “We’ve been supported by our customers so we’re going to support them too.
If you are interested in hosting your own fundraiser, they are happy to host your event and donate a portion of the sales to the charity of your choice.
