The flavors of a restaurant in Allen Park have withstood the test of time. Wishbone Broasted Chicken has been around since 1957, but along with its staple items, it’s also serving up new dishes.
The broasting process is essentially using a pressure cooking deep fryer that leaves your chicken moist and a little less greasy, explained Nicole Polidori-Bateen, the owner of Wishbone Broasted Chicken.
Aside from broasted chicken, the menu at Wishbone features a variety of other comfort foods, including broasted poutine, which is made with fries tossed with shredded chicken, cheese curds and homemade gravy. The restaurant also offers ribs, fish, and more. In addition, Wishbone Broasted Chicken is rolling out new dishes for the fall, such as a broccoli harvest salad that’s made with fried broccoli, walnuts, grapes, and a homemade dressing. They also have a version of a chicken and waffles that’s tossed with hot honey.
