It’s going to be a night of laughter and commentary, all in the name of fathers. The “Fathers of Funny” comedy show will feature national and international acts who are all dads, and native Detroiters. The comics will use comedy to portray the challenges and rewards of fatherhood. The show is put on by the “Papa Was Project”, a Detroit based organization that focuses on promoting and supporting the importance of fathers’ involvement in their children’s lives.
Comedian and emcee of the show Horace “HB” Sanders stopped by “Live in the D” ahead of Friday’s show. The performance takes place at 6:30 p.m. at the Detroit Public Theatre, 3960 3rd Avenue in Detroit.
