Celebrities and look-alikes taking over Metro Detroit this weekend

See movie and TV stars up close and personal at 2 events this weekend

The weekend is upon us, and there’s a variety of events happening in and around Detroit, for just about everyone.

First up, it’s one of the largest pop-culture event in the state, and as always, the “Motor City Comic Con” is bringing out a slew of movie and TV stars. The event will feature exhibitions, panels, cool vendors, and guest celebrity appearances, like “Star Wars” legend Billy Dee Williams, Tom Felton from “Harry Potter”, and “Stranger Things” star David Harbour, just to name a few. Motor City Comic Con runs Friday through Sunday at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.

Grab the kiddos for this fun, interactive performance. You’ve probably seen them on their popular PBS Kids TV series, and now the gang from “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” will be live on stage. The musical for little Tigers and grown-ups alike will feature the beloved Daniel and all his friends on a brand new adventure with songs to sing along to. The performance takes place Saturday at 2 p.m. at The Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor.

If you’re looking to improve your “green thumb”, here’s your chance. Coriander Kitchen and Farm will host an Autumnal bulb planting class. Guests will learn about planting garlic and tulip bulbs, and how to care for them and other plants. The class takes place Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at Coriander located in the Jefferson-Chalmers area on Detroit’s Eastside.
