Thrifting and thrift stores can be hot locations during the holiday season. If you go to the right place, and find the right item, you’ll get a gift at a fraction of the cost. But, thrifting often implies two things; used, and in some cases old.
That’s according Demiris Brown, general manager at Motor City Pawn Brokers, who says pawn stores on the other hand often have brand new items with similar discounts as thrift stores.
Brown joined “Live In The D” host Tati Amare to run through some examples of the savings you could find at stores. He highlighted the retail price for six specific products and then shared what they cost at his pawn shop. The products were:

- Christian Louboutin So Kate
- Burberry Mini Pocket Tote
- Coleman X-Cursion Tailgate Grill
- Xbox Series X
- Air Jordan 9
