Whether you’re a fan of Motown music, classic films, magic, or famous books, it’s all being brought to life live on stage for all to enjoy.

The “Season of Broadway in Detroit,” is kicking off this week, and its director of marketing, Scott Myers, stopped by Live in the D to talk about the upcoming productions.

“‘Ain’t Too Proud, The Life and Time of The Temptations,’ is coming back,” Myers said.

The show, which kicks off Tuesday and runs through Saturday at the Fisher Theatre, was a huge hit when it was here a few years ago, Myers said.

If you’re in the mood for some magic, the “Champions of Magic,” show comes Jan. 20 and 21 to the Fisher Theatre. The show features five world class illusionists and will include, levitation, escape artists, fire, and more.

From Jan. 24 until Feb. 18, the hit Broadway show “Wicked” returns to the Detroit Opera House. Myers said Detroiters love this production and tickets are going fast.

Based on the best selling book, “To Kill a Mockingbird” comes to Fisher Theatre from March 5-17. The show that stars Richard Thomas is “phenomenal,” Myers said.
