Gospel music has deep roots in Detroit with some of the world’s most well-known Gospel singers coming from the area. Today for Music Monday, Gospel songwriter Darius James joined “Live In The D” host Tati Amare to discuss the release of his new single “He Won’t Fail”.
James talked about the inspiration for the song which came after he was listening to his brother’s podcast. “It’s a perspective that I had while listening to his podcast ‘Inspire God’s People’. At one moment he just said, whatever you’re going through, it doesn’t matter what it is, you can give it to Jesus. And that’s how the song came about,” said James.
James says his upcoming album will feature two versions on the song. One will be a more standard worship song while the other has a Trap influence.
