Here’s a chance to help the YMCA help others

Want to give back and get involved? Here’s an opportunity

When you hear about the YMCA, swimming and summers camps might come to mind. Did you know that you can help make that experience a reality for kids in the community?

Summer camp is a staple at the YMCA, and around one in three kids at these camps is on a scholarship, explained Latitia McCree-Thomas, the senior vice president of marketing and communications for the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit.

The YMCA also helps the community by providing free swim lessons for kids. In addition, “The Y” offers LIVESTRONG classes, which help cancer survivors.

When you step up to donate to “The Y”, you can pick a specific program or facility you’d like to fund.
