We’ve all heard that the holidays are filled with a special kind of magic, but this year that takes on a whole new meaning in Detroit. At The Fox Theatre, The Illusionists are in town. This show comes direct from Broadway and showcases five different illusionists who will perform magic that has a little holiday influence.
One of the Illusionists is Kevin James, also know as The Inventor. His illusions have been dubbed ground-breaking and innovative. He joined “Live In The D” host Tati Amare and guest-host Local 4 Style Editor Jon Jordan in studio to talk about the show and the influence of the holidays.
“We have big illusions, we have close up stuff, lots of audience participation,” said James. “My moniker in the show is The Inventor. It’s because I create all my own magic.”
He also talked about the other cast members of the show and even shared an illusions in studio that left Tati and Jon dumbfounded. To see the illusion, click the video player above.
“The Illusionists - Magic of the Holidays” is at The Fox Theatre Friday and Saturday, with two performances on Saturday. Tickets are available online or at the box office.
