Make your pet part of your New Year’s resolution

These ideas could help you and your 4-legged family member

If you’re still trying to come up with a New Year’s resolution, why not include your furry friend?

AnnMarie Chamberlain with Michigan Humane appeared on “Live In The D” to share some possible resolutions for pet parents. She suggests committing to taking your dog for a walk every day. Chamberlain’s other ideas include committing to playing with your cat or dog every day or learning to do pet first aid, which she stressed can be a lifesaver.

Michigan Humane has a variety of animals up for adoption, including an adorable cat named Stormy.
