Do you have what it takes to be part of the Detroit Youth Choir?

The DYC is holding auditions this week

The Detroit Youth Choir has skyrocketed to fame on a national level, and now the choir is looking to bring new talent to the stage.

Singers from the age of 9 to 18 can put their skills to the test this week during DYC auditions. Video auditions are due by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3rd. In-person auditions will be held Saturday, January 6th from noon to 5 p.m. at Marygrove Conservancy on West McNichols Road in Detroit. There is a five dollar audition fee.

The DYC’s January schedule also includes the debut of their new Disney+ series called “Choir”. It will drop January 31st. DYC Artistic Director Anthony White said people will get to see “the magic” behind the choir.
