New Year’s resolutions are common. It’s also common that people don’t follow through with them and often quit just a few weeks into January. So, what can you do to make it through the month, and the year, achieving that goal you set for yourself on January 1? Ronnie Hormel, a therapist with Birmingham Maple Clinic, joined us to share the right mindset to help you keep your resolution. He ran through some true or false questions to help everyone get started. What are your answers?
True or false:
- New Year’s resolutions often fail because people don’t anticipate the obstacles that come with their goals.
- New Year’s resolutions are less effective when you have an accountability partner.
- You don’t need to write down your resolution, or track your progress.
- Only 25% of people follow through on their resolutions.
