Lots to do for just about everyone this weekend in Metro Detroit

The weekend is almost here, and if you’re looking for something to do in and around Detroit, we’ve got you covered.

The big Lions game is this Sunday and we’re all getting ready for the excitement. If you’re hosting a game day party and want to get fancy with the snacks, check out the Charcuterie Board Class at Detroit Vineyards. You can learn the ins and outs of a charcuterie arrangement while sipping wine and enjoying snacks. The class takes place Friday, 6:30 p. - 8 p. m. at 1000 Gratiot Ave, Detroit.

Ann Arbor is gearing up for a popular musical event this weekend. The “Ann Arbor Folk Festival” returns for the first time since the pandemic and will feature a variety of musical artists from diverse backgrounds. The guest MC will be actor, artist, and Michigan native, Jeff Daniels. The Fest happens Friday through Saturday starting at 7 p.m. both days, at the Hill Auditorium, 825 N. University Ave. in Ann Arbor.

The much anticipated Detroit Youth Choir docuseries “Choir” premieres on Disney+ January 31st, but this weekend you have the chance to take a sneak peek at the six-part documentary. The documentary follows the kids as they prepare for the performance of a lifetime and will be shown at a special screening event held by the choir, Saturday, 2 p.m. at the Detroit Institute of the Art.

A new interactive exhibition is coming to the Michigan Science Center. The “Above and Beyond” exhibit will explore the transformative innovations in aerospace. The 6,000 sq. ft. exhibition will feature the first powered flights, to the newest innovations on earth and in space. The exhibition opens Tuesday to the public. Members can get a sneak peek on Sunday. MISCI is located at 5020 John R. in Detroit.
