Scott Hamilton is bringing a skating show to Detroit

Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer Celebration Ice Show will be held Feb. 8th

Scott Hamilton is known for doing back-flips on the ice. He’s also an Olympic gold medal figure skater who has won four U.S. Championships and four World Championships. Now, the figure skating legend is on a mission to help eliminate cancer.

Hamilton is bringing his Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer Celebration Ice Show to Detroit. A variety of skaters will take the ice to perform at the rink at Campus Martius. The ice show is a fundraiser to help with the fight against cancer. Hamilton will be the host of the event.

The fight against cancer is a personal journey for the figure skater who lost his mother to cancer and has also battled the disease himself.

The Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer Celebration Ice Show will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 8th at Campus Martius.
