A concert series is happening in Metro Detroit beginning this Friday and Artist Kisma Jordan returned to “Live in the D” to talk about the musical event that is perfect for Black History Month.
Jordan is the Arts & Programming manager of the Cranbrook Project which she says is about, “bridging the suburbs with rural areas through music, art, and education, and we’re moving through the arts to bring communities together.”
An event is taking place this Friday night and launches the concert series with Detroit based artists, and it will have, “Something for everyone,” says Jordan. “Look What God Has Done: A Celebration of African American Music” will be a conversation through music about the impact Black music has had on our history.
As for her personal music journey, Jordan says she will have some musical performances and will also be in the studio later this spring.
