Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario, Canada, located about 90 minutes North of Toronto, is known for having world class skiing, but if hitting the slopes isn’t your thing, they’ve got just about every winter activity covered.
And did we mention that includes a one-of-a-kind coaster.
“We have Ontario’s first mountain coaster, its call Ridge Runner Coaster,” Alexandra Cox, Resident Social Media Specialist for Blue Mountain Resort, told “Live in the D’s,” April Morton during a visit there in late January.
She says the coaster goes 42 km/hr and goes through the forest, which can be quiet picturesque. There’s also ice skating, not on a rink, but a cool trail that also takes you through the forest and offers great views of the nearby Georgian Bay.
Tubing is another fun activity that’s offered at the resort if you’re looking for an in-door option, and there’s the “Plunge” waterpark with in and outdoor pools and slides.
