Fresh from the 66th Grammy Awards, Karen Clark Sheard appeared on “Live in the D” to talk with host Tati Amare and guest-host Lomas Brown to share more about her career with The Clark Sisters and her honor.
“I wanted to pinch myself” she says when talking about winning a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award along with her sisters. With also being the first ever female gospel group to win this award, she says, “We felt so emotional, we couldn’t even describe this moment.”
When being nominated for an award compared to winning the award, she says she is grateful for both, regardless of the outcome.
She recently got together with some of her family to create her new single, “Send It Down,” which is also produced by her son.
