Tati Amare – The tradition of watching the Super Bowl has long transcended simple sports fandom and has evolved into a cultural phenomenon drawing in the attention of millions around the globe. Whether you’re a die-hard sports enthusiast, or a casual viewer, this reality has taken on a new level for us as we’ve experienced the most exciting football season in several years. Even better was having the unique perspective of former Detroit Lion and Super Bowl winner, Lomas Brown, as my guest host this week giving us a unique look into the world of professional football. Lomas shared the pre-game jitters, the joy of winning a Super Bowl and the heartbreak of losing. There aren’t too many people you can get this kind of perspective and context from! Of course, he was also a joy to hang out with on the show as we head into this weekend that’s almost a national holiday.
Without a doubt I’m waiting for the day when the Lions breakthrough and make a triumphant appearance at the Super Bowl and I think next season may be the year it happens for us. In the meantime, I’ll watch with a hint of petty annoyance and focus on enjoying the half-time show, commercials, and the game. I’ll be watching with my Detroit Lions sweatshirt on...
