Fill your plate and move your feet at Michigan’s largest indoor Greek festival this weekend in Westland. Festival coordinators Ken Vlahadamis and Stella Boyer shared a preview of some of the traditional pastries that will be available, including baklava of course but also loukoumades (aka Greek donuts). Loukoumades are usually served with cinnamon and powdered sugar, but festival visitors will be able to top them with “extras” like Nutella and Oreos.
Shoppers will find treasures like worry beads, or as Vlahadamis called them, “the original fidget toy”. There will be wine tastings, live music, Greek dance performances, a children’s activity area and tours of the church throughout the weekend. To learn more about the event, watch the video above.
