She’s worked with legends like Martin Lawrence and Jamie Foxx, now Melanie Comarcho is bringing her standup routine back to Detroit. The comedian has a reputation for having infectious energy and razor-sharp wit on stage. She will be in Detroit both Friday and Saturday. Ahead of her comedy shows, Comarcho spoke with “Live In The D” host Tati Amare about what fans can expect.
“I talk about whatever is going on,” said Comarcho. “Everything is really crazy to start 2024.”
Comarcho said that it’s all about normal life because that’s what people can relate to the most. “Everybody is going through something. Everybody wants to hear that you’re sharing the same pain they are, but when you take the stage with it, they laugh about it.”
She also talked about how comedy is healing which is why she hopes people will come out and laugh with her.
