If you’re a fan of songs like “Conga”, “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You”, and “Get On Your Feet”, then the Fox Theatre is where you want to be on Saturday. This weekend the show “On Your Feet!” has a matinee showing in Detroit to share the life story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. The starring actors in the show are Gaby Albo and Sam Garnica, and they appeared on “Live In The D” to let everyone know about the show.
“What I love about it is that it showcases their struggles in their careers and in their lives,” said Albo. “So, it can be a very inspiring show.”
Emilio may not be as widely known as Gloria, but his contribution is showcased in the show, and Garnica says Emilio’s influence goes far beyond the music he did with Gloria. “He’s one of those persons in the Latin community who created those bridges for icons in Latin music such as Shakira, Ricky Martin, and J. Lo.”
“On Your Feet!” has a matinee performance at 2:30 p.m. at the Fox Theatre on Saturday.
