From RV’s to maple syrup, and fly fishing, enjoy nature this weekend in the D

Spring is just around the corner, and many in Southeast Michigan are getting excited about the change in season. As you start to plan for the upcoming weather, there are some events happening to get you ready.

First up, The Ultimate RV Show is happening in Downtown Detroit. Visitors will get to check out new product debuts, and the latest in RV gear. There will be exhibitors, a kids zone, and more than 200 fully-staged new and used RVs. Guests will also have the chance to enter to win a brand new RV. The show kicks off today and runs through Sunday at Huntington Place.

Next, an event for the anglers out there. It’s the Midway Fly Fishing Expo. This annual event will feature all things fly fishing including, exhibitors, casting pond demos, seminars, kids activities and more. The Expo happens Saturday and Sunday at the Macomb Community College Sports and Expo Center in Warren.

Michigan is known for producing great maple syrup, and if you’re looking to tap in to this sweet treat, there are several chances to do so this weekend. At Kensington Metro Park in Milford, and Milcott Metro Park in Ray, you can take a guided walk to learn about different maple trees, experience how the trees are tapped, and how the sap is collected. Maple Syrup events are also happening in Northville at Maybury Farms, and in West Bloomfield at their nature center. The events takes place Saturday and Sunday.
