Who had the best look on the red carpet?

Fans are buzzing about the big winners from the Oscars Sunday night, but they’re also talking about the looks that celebrities showcased on the red carpet.

Oscars fashion was the topic of conversation during the What’s the Buzz segment on “Live In The D” Monday morning. The conversation included host Tati Amare, Local 4 Studio Editor Jon Jordan, and AJ Williams, the managing editor at the Michigan Chronicle. She’s also the City. Life. Style. editor. The trio went through some of their picks for hits and misses on the red carpet. Meanwhile, viewers were able to join in online to score celebrity looks on a scale of 1 to 10.

The conversation started with actress Zendaya’s Oscars look. She wore an Armani Privé gown. Jon thought Zendaya was a “win” on the red carpet. He liked her “simple hair” and “soft makeup”. AJ said she looked “absolutely gorgeous.” Zendaya received an audience average rating of 8 out of a possible 10.

Next, the group talked about Cynthia Erivo’s red carpet look. She who wore a Louis Vuitton dress. AJ said she loved the green color of the dress. Cynthia Erivo’s Oscars look received an audience average rating of 7.

Meanwhile, actress Michelle Yeoh wore a sparkly silver Balenciaga gown with long black gloves. Jon called her dress “spectacular without going overboard”. Michelle Yeoh’s ensemble earned an audience average rating of 7.

Margot Robbie wasn’t in “Barbie” pink at the Oscars. Instead, she wore an elegant, black Versace gown. Her look received an audience average of 8.

Ariana Grande was dressed in a one-of-a-kind, pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown. “It did not land,” AJ said. She felt the dress was too much and overtook the singer. Jon joked that the inspiration looked like they asked, “What if we put Ariana Grande in a cotton candy machine?” Ariana Grande’s ensemble received an audience average score of 5.

The Oscars fashion conversation ended with actress Melissa McCarthy. She wore a pink and red Christian Siriano dress. AJ said she’s not a fan of that color combination. A 5 was the average audience rating for Melissa McCarthy’s ensemble.
