When it comes to paying for college, there are all kinds of things that can help, including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, known as FASFA.
“FASFA is key to unlocking various forms of financial aid and opportunities like scholarships and grants to help students pay for college,” said Emily Hurtado-Arboleda, a high school analyst for MI Student Aid with MiLEAP.
There is a new streamlined application process, so Hurtado-Arboleda appeared on Live In The D to talk about FASFA. Hurtado-Arboleda explained that this year there’s a new form. She said the form is now available and it should take less time to complete.
Students that are eligible for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship can receive up to $8,250 over three years at Michigan community colleges or tribal colleges, up to $27,500 at Michigan public universities, or up to $20,000 at Michigan private colleges or universities.
