How you can help a pet on this Day of Giving

Several pets are in need of adoption and Michigan Humane can help you through the process

Today is a special day when you can help dogs and cats in need in our area by helping Michigan Humane in their efforts, because today is their day of giving. Myron Golden, the Manager of Community Engagement with the Field Services Department at Michigan Humane, stopped by “Live in the D” to chat about their efforts, and introduce viewers to a puppy in need of adoption.

“We go out in the field, we pick up sick and inquired animals,” Golden said. He said about $1,200 goes into the animals before they are ready to go out for adoption, and that’s where you can help.

The organization relies on donations to operate successfully and help find as many forever homes for the animals as possible. Their are several pets in need of adoption, like a cute puppy he brought on today’s show.

The Mike Morse Law Firm will pay the standard adoption fees for anyone adopting today’s pet of the week.
