You may recognize him from movies and TV, and now comedian Guy Torry is bringing his comedy tour to the D. He stopped by “Live in the D” to chat about it.
Based on his comedy show “Phat Tuesdays,” he started in Los Angeles, Torry will be joined by other comedians including Detroit’s own Mic Larry, T-Barb and Roni Shanell, at One Mic comedy club in Downtown Detroit.
“I want to showcase, up and coming comedians,” Torry said. He also said he loves performing in Detroit, saying it’s where he got his first standing ovation.
There’s a new documentary about the “Phat Tuesdays” show, of the same name, that airs on Amazon Prime. Torry said he has another Documentary that will be released soon, and fans should stay tuned for details.
The show tonight at One Mic starts at 8p.
